Abstract：Endometriosis is often regarded as a difficult gynecological disease, but its diagnosis and treatment should be based on the whole. Traditional Chinese medicine theory has guiding significance for the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis. The basic pathogenesis of endometriosis with stasis blocking uterus is closely related to unsmooth blood circulation. Based on the theory of “unsmooth blood circulation results in water retention” in traditional Chinese medicine, the treatment of endometriosis is based on syndrome differentiation and the combination of disease and syndrome, and the pathogenic characteristics of endometriosis are discussed from the perspective of “blood and water”. At the same time, around the principle of “blood and water treatment together”, analyze the theoretical basis of Zhongjing’s classical prescriptions of blood and water treatment together in the application of endometriosis, and expand new ideas for traditional Chinese medicine to treat endometriosis.
