Abstract：At present, cone and plate method is the most widely used method to detect whole blood viscosity in clinical practice. Although the quality of cone and plate method to detect whole blood viscosity has been significantly improved in recent years, clinicians still often question the test results in daily work, which involves many factors such as instruments and equipment, calibration substances, and personnel operations. In order to standardize the cone and plate method for detecting whole blood viscosity, this consensus drafting group, through in-depth research on the law and quality management of the other side, and reference to relevant domestic and foreign literatures, put forward standardization suggestions for the pre-test, middle, and post-test stages of cone and plate method for detecting whole blood viscosity, and explain the reasonable interpretation of the test results, to promote the effective application of cone and plate method to detect whole blood viscosity in clinical diagnosis, disease early warning, and chronic disease management.
