Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Maiguan Fukang Capsules combined with Nimergoline in treating post-stroke cognitive impairment (PSCI) with syndrome of internal blockade of static blood. Methods A total of 86 patients with PSCI with syndrome of internal blockade of static blood admitted to Bozhou People’s Hospital of Anhui Province from January 2021 to July 2022 were selected and divided into control group (43 cases) and observation group (43 cases) according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with Nimergoline, and the observation group was treated with Maiguan Fukang Capsules combined with Nimergoline. The two groups were treated for eight weeks. The clinical efficacy was compared between two groups, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, mini-mental state examination (MMSE) score, National Institutes of Health stroke scale (NIHSS) score, cerebral blood flow velocity, serum neuron specific enolase (NSE), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and malondialdehyde (MDA) were compared between the two groups before and after treatment, and the safety was evaluated. Results The curative effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, NIHSS score, and levels of NSE and MDA of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the MMSE score, SOD level, and blood flow velocity of left middle cerebral artery (LMCA), left posterior cerebral artery (LPCA), right posterior cerebral artery (RPCA) were higher than those before treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, NIHSS score, and levels of NSE and MDA of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the MMSE score, SOD level, and blood flow velocity of LMCA, LPCA, RPCA were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). No obvious adverse reactions occurred in the two groups during the treatment. Conclusion Maiguan Fukang Capsules combined with Nimergoline has a significant effect in the treatment of PSCI with syndrome of internal blockade of static blood, which can effectively improve cognitive impairment, neuronal damage, and cerebral blood flow, reduce oxidative stress response, and has high safety.
