Abstract:Objective To investigate the Influence of different concentration of local oxygen therapy combined with vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) technology on wound healing of lower extremity traumatic skin defect. Methods A total of 160 patients with lower extremity traumatic skin and soft tissue defects admitted to Suzhou Science and Technology City Hospital of Jiangsu Province from March 2020 to February 2021 were selected as the study objects. Stratified randomized method was used to divide them into groups A, B, C, and D, with 40 cases each. Group A was given VSD, group B was given 1 L/min continuous oxygen therapy combined with VSD, group C was given 3 L/min continuous oxygen therapy combined with VSD, and group D was given 5 L/min continuous oxygen therapy combined with VSD. The wound condition, wound skin grafting time, wound healing time, hospital stay time, and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the four groups after seven days of treatment. Results After seven days of treatment, granulation tissue coverage in groups B, C, and D was higher than those in group A, groups C and D were higher than group B, and group D was higher than group C (P<0.05). The wound skin grafting time, wound healing time, and hospital stay in groups B, C, and D were shorter than those in group A, groups C and D were shorter than group B (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions among four groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Local oxygen therapy combined with VSD can promote the growth of lower limb traumatic skin defect wounds, shorten the treatment cycle, but attention should be paid to prevent the adverse reactions that may be caused by high concentration oxygen therapy.
