The data were organized and analyzed using the Colaizzi 7-step analysis method to refine the themes. Results A total of four themes were distilled: nurses’ general awareness of the importance of case management; the diversity of forms of case management used; the problems nurses had in implementing case management; and the factors that influence nurses’ implementation of case management. Conclusion Effective measures can be taken to continuously improve the implementation of case management by developing targeted nurse training programs, clarifying case manager admission qualifications, emphasizing patient participation in postoperative lymphedema in breast cancer, and improving the support and assurance system related to case management.
