Abstract:Professor Li Liyun is a famous traditional Chinese medicine in Guangdong Province, with rich experience in the treatment of infertility with polycystic ovary syndrome. The idea of “making up deficiency and reducing superfluity” originates from the “the law of nature is to make up for the deficiency rather than the excess” of Tao Te Ching. Based on the overall view and the concept of “harmony of man with nature” of traditional Chinese medicine, Professor Li Liyun thinks that the theory of “making up deficiency and reducing superfluity” is also applicable to the traditional Chinese medicine differentiation and treatment of human diseases. There are many pathogenic factors of infertility with polycystic ovary syndrome, and the overall pathogenesis can be summarized as “deficiency” and “excess” acting on the body. “deficiency” mainly lies in kidney and spleen deficiency, while “excess” mainly lies in qi depression, phlegm dampness and static blood. In the treatment, it is necessary to strengthen healthy qi and repaire the deficiency and replenish the deficiency of the spleen and kidney and other viscera, restrain the deficiency caused by the deficiency of the viscera, and remove the superfluity of stagnation of qi, phlegm-dampness and blood stasis to fill the deficiency of the viscera caused by excess evil, and integrate the “making up deficiency and reducing superfluity”, harmonize yin, yang, qi and blood, to provide new ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of infertility with polycystic ovary syndrome.
