Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of the comfort care in patients underwent burn and plastic surgery. Methods From January to November 2016, 100 patients underwent burn and plastic surgery in Burn and Plastic Surgery Branch, the First People's Hospital in Zaoyang were selected and divided into the experimental group and the control group by random number table, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing care and the experimental group was given comfort care on the basis of the control group. The curative effect and the nursing satisfaction of patients between the two groups were compared. Results The incidence of clinical curative effect in the experimental group and the nursing satisfaction were all higher than those of control group, with statistically significant differences (P ＜ 0.05) Conclusion The comfort care is a comprehensive model which shows a more humanized service concept. It can improve the effect of burn and plastic surgery and promote nursing satisfaction of the patients.
