| The effect of comprehensive emergency care on the lower limb function and life quality in patients with osteoporotic compression fracture |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of comprehensive emergency care on the lower limb function and life quality in patients with osteoporotic compression fracture. Methods From May 2014 to May 2016, 90 patients with osteoporotic compression fracture treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group by random number table, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was given the routine emergency care and the observation group was given comprehensive emergency care on the bases of control group. The postoperative activity time, hospitalization time, postoperative pain score, the nursing satisfaction, the lower limb motor function score and the life quality after 1 year follow-up were compared between the two groups. Results The postoperative activity time and the hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than those of control group, the postoperative pain score was lower than that of control group, with statistically significant differences (P ＜ 0.05). The nursing satisfaction in the observation group (91.11%) was obviously higher than that of control group (71.11%), with statistically significant differences (P ＜ 0.05). After nursing, the scores of lower limb motor function and the life quality in the two groups were higher than those of before nursing, and those in the observation group improved much more remarkably, with statistically significant differences (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion Comprehensive emergency nursing can effectively improve the postoperative rehabilitation in patients with osteoporotic compression fracture, promote the nursing satisfaction, improve the lower limb motor function and life quality. It is worthy of promotion and application.
