Abstract With the increasing incidence of malignant tumors, caregivers of cancer patients are under great physical and mental pressure, and their health status affects the treatment and prognosis of patients to some extent. At present, researchers have paid little attention to the social support of caregivers of cancer patients. This paper summarizes the relevant concepts of social support, theoretical basis of social support, social support research tools (social support rating scale, understanding social support scale, social support questionnaire), general demographic characteristics caregivers, the influence of social support for patients with tumor and the research status at home and abroad, and put forward the tumor patient caregivers care pressure in our country, the low level of physical and mental health, social support problems such as insufficient understanding degree, points out that along with the continuous development of modern society and the deepening of the research of social support, caregivers of cancer patient in our country will get more broader social support services.
