Simultaneous determination of six active ingredients in Shixingganmao Recipe 1 Mixture by HPLC |

Abstract Objective To establish and optimize a method for determination of six active ingredients in Shixingganmao Recipe 1 Mixture, and to provide a method basis for the quality control of this traditional Chinese medicine compound preparation. Methods An Agilent C18 column (250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm) was used. The mobile phase was acetonitrile-0.1% phosphoric acid aqueous solution as gradient elution withflowing rate of 1.0 mL/min. The column temperature was 35℃ and the detection wavelength was 203 nm. Results Good linear relationships were found in the mass concentrations of puerarin, paeoniflorin, prim-O-glucosylcimifugin, 5-O-methylvisammioside, cinnamaldehyde, and 6-gingerol were 19.19-191.94 μg/mL, 9.80-98.04 μg/mL, 1.10-22.08 μg/mL, 1.07-21.40 μg/mL, 1.14-22.87 μg/mL and 1.09-21.74 μg/mL, respectively(all r ≥ 0.9997). The average recoveries of six components were in accordance with the requirements for determination. Conclusion This method is simple, quick, sensitive and accurate, and suitable for the quality control of Shixingganmao Recipe 1 Mixture.
