Abstract Centering on the core theme of innovative education and starting from the cultivation of students′ innovative consciousness, innovative ability and practical research and development ability, this paper probes into the construction of innovative applied talents training mode in depth from the several aspects of the training plan of biomedical engineering major, faculty construction and practical teaching, etc. in local medical colleges and universities. Under the condition of combining students′ personality development organically, explore the effective way to cultivate innovative applied talents, create the learning environment suitable for students with different talents to give play to and show their abilities, create the atmosphere of innovative quality-oriented education, and cultivate innovative and comprehensive quality talents. This topic has certain reference value for the national colleges and universities to carry out students′ quality-oriented education and ability training and to explore the innovative application talents training mode.
