Abstract Medicinal chemistry of natural products is an important course in the cultivation of pharmaceutical professionals in medical colleges and universities. In order to further improve the teaching effect of the course, make it fit closely with the frontier of discipline development, this paper summarizes the problems in the medicinal chemistry of natural products course teaching of the common, and combining the experience of teaching reform in recent years, the curriculum reform methods are discussed in this paper, thinking and summary, put forwards the optimization of the curriculum, flexible use of teaching methods, improve evaluation standard and strengthen humanistic spirit penetrate concrete measures and countermeasures.
