Abstract This paper summarizes professor Wang Xiaoying′s academic thoughts on the treatment of menopausal syndrome by sorting out professor Wang Xiaoying′s relevant works, manuscripts, clinical medical cases and clinical teaching notes. Professor Wang Xiaoying thinks that the deficiency of liver and kidney is the basis of the disease, and the imbalance of Yin-Yang is the key to the disease; she also thinks that the hot sweating is not only the first symptom of the disease, but also the main symptom, and that menopausal syndrome should belong to the category of women′s Xue-Lao. Therefore, the treatment mainly includes nourishing liver and kidney, harmonizing Yin-Yang, nourishing blood and calming nerves, and combining disease differentiation with syndrome differentiation. Professor Wang Xiaoying is good at using Wujiadan prescription based on the ancient decoction of Youjiansan to treat the menopause syndrome.
