Abstract Sepsis is still a serious threat to human health disease in today′s society, it can lead to multiple organ dysfunction, gastrointestinal dysfunction is a common complication in patients with sepsis, concurrent gastrointestinal dysfunction can make deterioration or poor prognosis, patients in the intensive care unit time longer, obviously improve the cost of treatment, and reduce survival rate significantly. Therefore, active treatment of gastrointestinal dysfunction is of great significance for the development and prognosis of sepsis. Through literature review, this paper summarizes the etiology, pathogenesis and treatment methods of traditional Chinese medicine of sepsis gastrointestinal dysfunction, providing ideas for the treatment of sepsis gastrointestinal dysfunction.
