Study on the relationship between syndrome of traditional Chinese medicine and related factors in acute cerebral infarction |

Abstract Objective To study the relationship between syndrome of traditional Chinese medicine and related factors in acute cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 516 patients with acute cerebral infarction who met the inclusion criteria were selected from the general ward of the Department of Neurology, the Third People′s Hospital of Datong, Shanxi Province from May 2017 to October 2018. There were 274 cases of wind-phlegm entering collaterals syndrome, 148 cases of yin deficiency and wind-motion syndrome and 94 cases of wind-yang disturbance syndrome, to analyze the relationship between different syndrome of traditional Chinese medicine and related factors. Univariate Logistic regression analysis was performed for factors with P < 0.05 which were analyzed by univariate analysis. Results Univariate analysis showed that age, body mass index (BMI), smoking and drinking history, history of hypertension, diastolic blood pressure, triglyceride (TG), serum total cholesterol (TC) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were all associated with syndrome of traditional Chinese medicine classification (P < 0.05). The disordered Logistic regression analysis showed that the history of hypertension (P = 0.031) and diastolic blood pressure (P < 0.001) were related to wind-phlegm entering collaterals, and age (P < 0.001) and diastolic blood pressure(P < 0.001) were related to yin deficiency and wind-motion. Conclusion Among the patients with acute cerebral infarction, the onset age is younger and have a history of hypertension, and especially the diastolic blood pressure increased mainly for the wind-yang disturbance syndrome. The age of onset of older people for yin deficiency and wind-motion syndrome.
