| Clinical effect of tonsil-pecking method on snoring sleep in children |

Abstract Objective To explore the clinical effect of tonsil-pecking method on children snoring sleep. Methods From June 2016 to November 2017, 93 children admitted to Otolaryngology Department of Weifang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shandong Province were selected and divided into treatment group (47 cases) and control group (46 cases) by random number table methold. The treatment group was given tonsil-pecking method treatment, the control group was given Azithromycin treatment, 5 d for a course of treatment. The scores of symptoms and positive signs, size of tonsil and adenoid in the two groups were observed. Results After treatment, the total effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference (P ＜ 0.05). The improvement of tonsil enlargement and adenoid hypertrophy in the treatment group was better than that in the control group (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion Tonsil-pecking method can significantly reduce the volume of tonsillar and adenoid, improve the therapeutic effect of snoring sleep in children.
