Abstract Malnutrition of dialysis patients, also known as protein-energy wasting malnutrition, is one of the common complications of patients with maintenance hemodialysis, and is associated with high hospitalization rates, mortality/morbidity and adverse clinical outcomes. The pathogenesis of malnutrition of dialysis patients in order to get the full research, inclouding inadequate nutrient intake, metabolic and hormonal disorders and inadequate dialysis and so on. But at the moment, treatment strategy of malnutrition is still lack of attention and not reached a consensus. This article aimes at summarizing the progress of the evaluation and treatment of malnutrition in the dialysis patients.
