Abstract This article discusses the methodology of developing the project-driven basic medical resource database. This on-line project is established based on the integration of medical foundation subjects and project-driven teaching and learning. With features of organ system focused, combination of classroom and informationized teaching and learning methodologies, integration of experiment and practice, and cooperation and sharing each other for the project, the database consists of seven modules including learning guide for students, courcewares, picture recognitions, animations, micro classes, case studies and tests & examinations, which will be helpful for students to learn basic medical subject related macrostructure and microstructure, organ morphology and function, embryo and birth, and extend to their specialized courses.
