Application effect of portable venous puncture auxiliary equipment in tumor chemotherapy patients infusion |

Abstract Objective To explore the clinical effects of the self-developed portable venous puncture auxiliary equipment in improving the success rate of intravenous chemotherapy, in order to reduce the vascular damage and improve the efficiency of nurses. Methods From September 2016 to April 2017, 89 patients underwent chemotherapy in Department of Medical Oncology, Air Force General Hospital, PLA were selected and divided into experimental group (venous puncture auxiliary equipment used, 45 cases) and control group (routine puncture, 44 cases). The success rate of one-time puncture, the time of single vein passage, the rate of drug extravasation and phlebitis were compared between the two groups. Results The successful rate of one-time puncture in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). The time of establishing a single vein route in the experimental group was significantly less than that in the control group with statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). The incidence of drug extravasation and phlebitis in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusion The portable intravenous puncture auxiliary equipment has the advantages of simple operation and strong practicability, can clearly show the chemotherapy of patients with vascular to help to improve the success rate of vein puncture nurses, reduce the vascular injury caused by repeated puncture of the patients, which is of great significance to protect vessel safety in patients undergoing chemotherapy.
