| The effect of integrated medical treatment and nursing model in community elderly care |

Abstract Objective To observe the application effect of integrated medical treatment and nursing model in community elderly care. Methods From January to June 2016, 75 old people were respectively chosen from two local communities. The elderly from Yuejin Community Health Service Center were selected as the observation group, which were treated by integrated medical treatment and nursing model. The elderly from Liaoyuan Community Health Service Center were selected as control group, which were received routine nursing. 6 months after nursing, the quality of life score, nursing satisfaction and nursing effect of the elderly in the two groups were compared. Results Before nursing, there was no significant difference between the two groups in the score of quality of life (P > 0.05); after nursing, the quality of life score in the two groups were significantly higher than that before nursing (P < 0.05), and the score in observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The rates of self-care ability, nursing knowledge awareness, health and safety awareness and mental health in observation group were better than those in control group (P < 0.05), and the nursing satisfaction in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The integrated medical treatment and nursing model can improve the quality of life, and promote the development of the model of community nursing care.
