Abstract Objective To understand the present situation and trend of Chinese medicine culture construction in colleges and universities in China, and to provide reference for related research. Methods From January 1995 to October 2018, the literature on the construction of Chinese medicine culture in colleges and universities was retrieved from CNKI, VIP and Wanfang database, the relevant literatures were extracted and the statistical analysis was carried out by using noteexpress literature management software and Excel. Results Included in 131 literatures, published in 73 periodicals respectively, and the volume was the most loaded with "modern distance education of Chinese medicine in China". The first author involves 47 colleges and universities, all over 20 provinces in China, including Jiangsu, He′nan, Guangdong, Hu′nan 4 provinces sent more letters. The research institutions with the largest number of communications are Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. The research covers 9 aspects. Conclusion At present, the field of Chinese medicine culture construction in colleges and universities in China has been paid more attention, the research hotspots are more, and the development momentum of campus culture construction and humanistic quality education is good.
