SWOT analysis of the network open courses on the medical education reform in China |

Abstract With the popularization of internet and the introduction of sharing education concept, the internet has become an important approach for the knowledge seekers to acquire knowledge. The abundant network open courses on the internet provide convenient learning conditions for medical students and medical workers, meanwhile, the courses have great influences on traditional medical education. Through summarizing the medical network open courses on the internet, this paper introduces websites and contents of excellent medical open course resources at home and abroad, analyzes the existing strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats of medical network open courses by the method of SWOT, and then put forward four strategies and proposals of strengths-opportunities (SO), strengths-threats (ST), weaknesses-opportunities (WO), weaknesses-threats (WT), so as to provide reference for the development of medical network open courses in our country and the reform of medical education.
