| Effect of 99Tc Methylene Diphosphonate Injection on postoperative prognosis and quality of life after neurosurgery |

Abstract Objective To observe the effects of 99Tc Methylene Diphosphonate Injection on postoperative prognosis and quality of life after neurosurgery. Methods From December 2015 to February 2016, in Sanbo Brain Hospital, 80 patients underwent neurosurgery were selected, they were divided into 99Tc Methylene Diphosphonate Injection group and control group by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. 99Tc Methylene Diphosphonate Injection group were given intravenously 4 sets of 99Tc Methylene Diphosphonate Injection after anesthetic induction and successive 4 d daily after surgery, control group were given the same volume of saline. Index of anesthesia recovery period, pain intensity, fatigue, degree of comfort, subsided time of head and facial edema, drainage time, time of suture removal and time of discharge were assessed after surgery were recorded. Results The pain scores of patients in 99Tc Methylene Diphosphonate Injection group from the 1st day to the morning of 5th day were lower than control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The weary degree in 99Tc Methylene Diphosphonate Injection group from 1st to 3rd day were lower than control group, comfort degree in 99Tc Methylene Diphosphonate Injection group were high than control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The sitting up time, leaving bed activity time, independent walk time and taking out stitchesand, discharge time in two groups were compared, the differences were not statistically significant (P > 0.05), The edema time of head and face and drainage time in 99Tc Methylene Diphosphonate Injection group were shorter than control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The application of 99Tc Methylene Diphosphonate Injection in patients experiencing craniotomy can obviously increase the degree of comfort, improve appetite, relieve fatigue and postoperative pain, accelerate edema recession, and improve the quality of life after neurosurgery.
