Abstract:Objective To explore and analyze the effect of health education care intervention on quality of life and prognosis of patients with chronic heart failure. Methods Ninety cases of elderly patients with chronic heart failure admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University from May 2015 to May 2016 were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group by random number table, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing care, while the observation group was given health education care intervention. The awareness rate of knowledge on drug use and compliance rate of drug use, scores of quality of life, and the hospitalization rate and fatality rate after 1 year of follow-up between the two groups were compared. Results The awareness rate of knowledge on drug use and compliance rate of drug use in the observation group were higher than those of control group, with statistically significant differences (all P < 0.05). After nursing, the scores of physical function, role function, cognitive function, emotional function and social function in the two groups were all higher than those before nursing, and the indicators above in the observation group were increased more remarkably, with statistically significant differences (all P < 0.05). After 1 year of follow-up, the hospitalization rate and fatality rate of observation group were all lower than those of control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion The health education care intervention can improve the quality of life of elderly patients with chronic heart failure, improve the awareness of patients for the diseases, and promote prognosis.
