Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of press-needle combine thread embedding on treating patients with hand dysfunction after ischemic stroke. Methods From January 2015 to December 2016, 60 patients with hand dysfunction after ischemic stroke in Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and Neurology of Guangzhou Twelfth people's Hospital were selected as research objects, and divided into treatment group and control group by random number table, with 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated by press-needle combined thread embedding on the basis of routine treatment, and the control group was treated by press-needle combined functional acupuncture on the basis of routine treatment. The curative effect was evaluated and compared before and after treatment by the Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) and the Barthel Index (BI). Results After treatment, the FMA score and BI score in both group were all higher than before treatment (P < 0.05), and the treatment group was better than control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Based on routine treatment, the treatment of press-needle combined thread embedding is better than press-needle combined functional acupuncture on treating patients with hand dysfunction after ischemic stroke.
