Abstract:Objective To study the influences of family care on psychological status, self-management behavior and self-perceived burden in patients with maintenance hemodialysis. Methods From June 2012 to February 2016, 82 patients treated with maintenance hemodialysis in Zigong Third People′s Hospital were selected as research subjects and divided into the good family function group (37 cases) and the poor family function group (45 cases) according to the family APGAR index. The self-rating depression scale (SDS) and the self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) were used to evaluate the psychological status of the patients. The self-management behavior was evaluated by hemodialysis patients′self-management scale. The self-perceived burden scale (SPBS) was used to assess the degree of the patients′ self-perceived burden. Results The average scores of SDS and SAS, the proportion of depression and anxiety in the good family function group were all lower than those of poor family function group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The total score of self-management behavior and each dimension score in the good family function group were higher than those of poor family function group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The total score of SPBS and each dimension score in the good family function group were all lower than those of poor family function group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion The improvement of family care can directly optimize the psychological status and self-management behavior in patients with maintenance hemodialysis, and reduce the burden of self-perception.
