Abstract:Objective To evaluate the effect of somatosensory interactive game Kinect on patients with cognitive impairment after stroke. Methods From January 2017 to June 2017, 60 patients with cognitive impairment after stroke treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University were selected and divided into the control group and the experimental group by random number table, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine rehabilitation, while the experimental group was additionally treated with Kinect games on the bases of the control group. Montreal cognitive assessment (MoCA) and minimum mental state examination (MMSE) were applied before and 4 weeks after intervention. Results After intervention, the scores of MoCA and MMSE in both groups were significantly higher than those of control group, and the scores above in experimental group increased more remarkably, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion The somatosensory interactive game Kinect combined with routine rehabilitation can further improve the cognitive ability of patients with stroke.
