Abstract:Objective To study differences of caloricity data ΔT in 25 regions including viscera, head and face among youth people (aged from 15 to 34 years old) who have Phlegm-dampness constitution and mild physical to compare thermal structure of the three visceral cavities, viscera, Ren and Du meridians and face and head and five sense organs. Methods Classification and determination of constitution in TCM was adopted with combination of TCM four diagnostic methods. Thirty cases for Phlegm-dampness constitution group and thirty cases for mild physical group were chosen from healthy youth from TCM Clinic, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Liangxiang Campus from May to September 2016. Infrared thermopraphy was taken to obtain infrared thermal value of three visceral cavities, viscera, Ren and Du meridian and face and head and five sense organs. Results Compared with mild physical group, both Ren and Du meridians in the Phlegm-dampness constitution group indicated cool departure (P < 0.05), upper-jiao heat departure (P < 0.01), middle jiao and lower jiao cool departure (P < 0.01), anterior chest heat departure (P < 0.05), upper abdomen and lower abdomen cool departure (P < 0.01) and nose cool departure (P < 0.05). Conclusion Thermal structure for youth people with Phlegm-dampness constitution features much yin and less yang inside their body and weak spleen and stomach. It is also characterized by the tendency of dampness and heat accumulation.
