Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of local vibration therapeutic apparatus on lower limb spasticity and three-dimensional gait parameters in patients with hemiplegia. Methods A total of 82 patients with hemiplegia (stable and convalescent) admitted to the First People′s Hospital of Dongcheng District, Beijing from March 2018 to June 2019 were selected as study subjects. The patients were divided into control group and experimental group by random number table method, with 41 cases each group. The control group were given routine rehabilitation training, and on this basis, the experimental group were treated with local vibration therapeutic apparatus. The degree of lower limb spasticity was evaluated with the modified Ashworth scale (MAS) before and after treatment, and the three-dimensional gait parameters were compared between the two groups. At the same time, the simplified Fugl-Meyer assessment scale (FMA) was used to assess the patients′ lower extremity motor function, and the improved Barthel Index (MBI) was used to assess the patients′ daily activity ability. Results There were no significant differences in MAS scores, three-dimensional gait parameters, FMA scores or MBI scores between the two groups before treatment (P > 0.05). After treatment, MAS scores of both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, and those of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). Three-dimensional gait parameters (gait speed, stride frequency, stride length), FMA score and MBI score were all higher in the two groups than before treatment, and the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The application of local vibratory therapeutic apparatus in patients with hemiplegia has obvious effects in improving the degree of lower limb spasm, promoting the lower limb motor function and the ability of daily life activities, etc., and has certain clinical promotion and application advantages.
