Abstract:Objective To explore the active components, targets and signal pathways of Buyang Huanwu Decoction in preventing thrombosis by using network pharmacology method. Methods The traditional Chinese medicine system pharmacology database and analysis platform (TCMSP) were used to retrieve drugs, and the active ingredients and corresponding targets of Buyang Huanwu Decoction were selected by combining the two pharmacokinetic parameters of bioavailability and drug-like properties. Genecard and OMIM database were used to find disease-related target genes with the keywords of thrombosis. Drug and disease target genes were intersected, target names were corrected using Uniprot database, and compound-target-disease network was constructed by Cytoscape software. The obtained drug-disease target genes were input into STRING online database to draw PPI network diagram, and the core genes were obtained, and GO and KEGG pathway enrichment analysis were performed. Results Buyang Huanwu Decoction had 61 effective active components, 63 drug-disease intersection genes, 69 biological processes involved and 115 signaling pathways, which were mainly involved in the regulation of tumor necrosis factor (TNF), PI3K-Akt, interleukin (IL)-17 and NF-κB signaling pathways. Conclusion Buyang Huanwu Decoction can regulate multiple genes to regulate multiple signaling pathways to treat thrombotic diseases, reflecting the characteristics of multiple ingredients, multiple targets and multiple pathways of traditional Chinese medicine compound.
