Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of nursing strategies based on empathy-oriented concept in elderly primiparas with cesarean section. Methods From July 2017 to July 2019, a total of 94 elderly primiparous women who were admitted to Huai′an First People′s Hospital were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into intervention group (48 cases) and control group (46 cases). The control group was given routine nursing intervention, while the intervention group was combined with a care strategy based on empathy concept on the basis of routine nursing. The mental health status, hope level, and nursing satisfaction of the two groups of senile primipara after cesarean section were compared. Results After the intervention, the scores of maternal somatization, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, and horror in the two groups were significantly lower than those before the intervention, while the intervention group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). After the intervention, attitudes towards reality and the future, maintaining close relationships with others, adopting positive actions, and the total score of hope of the two groups were significantly higher than those before the intervention, while the intervention group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). The nursing satisfaction of the intervention group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The nursing strategies based on the concept of empathy can help improve the mental health of senile cesarean primiparas, promote the development of hope levels, and improve nursing satisfaction.
