Abstract：The standardized residency training system for oncology radiation physicians is critical for improving the treatment of cancer patients and constitutes. After tens years of practice, the United States has established a relatively well-performing residency training system for oncology radiation physicians. The application and admission match process for oncology radiation physicians is very strict, emphasizes training on clinical practice and basic scientific research, student should learn by themselves. The assessment system after graduation consists of mutual evaluation, elimination system. In contrast, the oncology radiation residency training system in China is not mature and needs to be improved. According to my own training experience in UT Southwestern Medical Center, by comparison of the radiation residency training systems between China and the United States, this paper put forward some thinking and suggestions.
