Abstract:Professor Li Yanning believes that “intermingled phlegm and blood stasis” is the key to the pathogenesis of children′s chronic persistent of asthma, and the physiological relationship of “homogeny of clear fluid and blood” must be accompanied by the pathological relationship of “intermingled phlegm and blood stasis”. “Phlegm” is the “root” of the onset of asthma and throughout the whole process of asthma. The chronic persistent of asthma is mainly intangible phlegm, which should be treated by “clearing phlegm”. However, “homogeny of clear fluid and blood”, “chronic disease and blood stasis”, phlegm turbid for a long time, blocking the vein and blocked can cause “blood stasis”. “Blood stasis” is an important pathological factor of chronic persistent of asthma. From the perspective of homology of phlegm and blood stasis, the author summarizes Professor Li Yanning′s experience in the treatment of children′s chronic persistent of asthma, discusses its unique etiology, pathogenesis, syndrome differentiation and treatment, enriches the theoretical basis of asthma treatment, and provides new ideas for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
