Abstract:Objective To compare the content of ferulic acid in taproot and rootlet of Radix Angelicae Sinensis from different regions. Methods The content of ferulic acid was measured by high performance liquid chromatography. Kromasil C18 column (250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm) was used in this study. The mobile phase was acetonitrile and 0.085% phosphoric acid (17∶83), the detection wavelength was set at 316 nm, the flow rate was set at 1.0 mL/min, the column temperature was 35℃, and the sample size was 20 μL. Results The ferulic acid showed a good linear relationship in the range of 19.52-31.20 μg/mL (r = 0.9999), and the average recovery was 99.70%, RSD was 2.40%. Conclusion The method is simple and reproducible. The content of ferulic acid sample from Heqing County of Yunnan Province is higher than those in other regions, and the content in the rootlet of Radix Angelicae Sinensis is higher than that in taproot of the plant.
