Abstract:Objective To analyze the correlation between the number of acute attacks in bronchial asthma and children′s behavior abnormality. Methods One hundred and two children with bronchial asthma admitted to Xi′an Central Hospital from January 2016 to October 2018 were selected as the research objects. According to whether the annual attack times of asthma were ≥ five times, they were divided into frequent group (n = 69) and non frequent group (n = 33). The basic data of the children were collected. The children′s social behavior ability was assessed by Achenbach children′s behavior rating scale. The scores of behavior problems of children in two groups were compared. The scores of behavior problems of children with different gender and parents with the highest education level in frequent group were compared. The correlation between the number of acute attacks of bronchial asthma and behavioral abnormalities was analyzed. Results The scores of behavior problems and total scores of frequent group were significantly higher than those of non frequent group (P < 0.05). The score of aggressive behavior in boys was significantly higher than that in girls of frequent group (P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in the scores of other behavior problems and the total scores in children of different genders between two groups (P > 0.05). The anxiety/depression scores of the parents with the highest education level of senior high school or below were higher than those of the junior college or above, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in the scores of other behavior problems and total scores between the children with different parents with the highest education level in the frequent occurrence group (P > 0.05). There was a significant positive correlation between the number of acute asthma attacks and the total score of behavioral problems (r = 0.522, P < 0.05). Conclusion There is a positive correlation between the degree of behavioral abnormality and the number of acute attacks in children with bronchial asthma. The gender of children and the education level of their parents has a certain impact on their behavioral abnormality. Targeted behavioral correction and psychological intervention will be helpful to reduce the number of attacks.
