Abstract:Objective To study the optimum extraction condition and the antioxidant activity of total flavonoids from lasianthus lancilimbus. Methods The orthogonal experiment was designed to optimize the extraction process. The antioxidant activity was evaluated by DPPH free radical, superoxide anion radical and hydroxyl free radical scavenging ability. Results The optimum extraction condition was obtained as follows: the extraction time was 60 min, the solid-liquid ratio of 1∶40 (g/mL), ethanol concentration was 40%. The scavenging abilities for DPPH free radical, superoxide anion radical and hydroxyl free radical were obviously related to the concentrations. Conclusion The total flavonoids from lasianthus lancilimbus have strong antioxidant activities.
