Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of Carvedilol combined with Nicorandil in the treatment of elderly patients with coronary heart disease and angina pectoris and its effect on soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1(sICAM-1) and myeloperoxidase (MPO) levels. Methods A total of 166 elderly patients with coronary heart disease and angina pectoris admitted to Beijing Huimin Hospital from January 2016 to January 2019 were selected as the subjects. According to the treatment regimen, the patients were divided into control group and study group, with 83 patients in each group. The control group was treated with Carvedilol, and the study group was treated with Nicordil based on the control group. sICAM-1, MPO, soluble P-selectin levels, heart rate and blood pressure in both groups were observed and recorded. Results After treatment, the effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in the sICAM 1, MPO, soluble P-select element level between the two groups before treatment (P > 0.05), after treatment sICAM-1, MPO, soluble P-level in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, those of the study group were lower than the control group, the differences were all statistically significant (all P < 0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in heart rate and blood pressure between the two groups before treatment (P > 0.05), after treatment, the heart rate and blood pressure of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those of the study group were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (all P < 0.05). Conclusion Carvedilol combined with Nicorandil is effective in the treatment of angina pectoris in elderly patients with coronary heart disease, and it can also improve patients′ ventricular function, heart rate, blood pressure and other conditions.
