Abstract:Objective To study the effect of enteral nutrition support combined with personalized nursing mode on reducing the incidence of pressure sore in elderly bedridden patients. Methods From May 2018 to July 2019, a total of 160 elderly patients with pressure ulcer risk who were admitted to Chongqing People′s Hospital(“our hospital for short”) were selected as subjects. According to the order of treatment, patients were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, with 80 cases in each group. The control group received conventional pressure ulcer intervention mode. The experimental group received an enteral nutrition support combined with personalized nursing model based on the control group. The intervention time of both groups was 4 weeks. The indexes of serum albumin (ALB), total serum protein (TP) and serum pre-albumin (PA), mini-nutritional assessment (MNA) score, Barden score, gastrointestinal adverse reaction rate and hospitalization were observed and compared. Results There were no significant differences in serum related indicators ALB, TP, PA, MNA scores and Barden scores between the two groups before intervention (all P > 0.05). After 4 weeks of intervention, the serum-related indicators ALB, TP, PA, MNA scores, and Barden scores of the two groups were all higher than those before the intervention, while ALB, TP, PA, MNA and Barden scores in the experimental group were all higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (all P < 0.05). The incidence of gastrointestinal adverse reactions in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The nutritional improvement rate and hospitalization satisfaction rate of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, and the incidence of pressure ulcers and the rate of re-hospitalization within one month after discharge were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (all P < 0.05). Conclusion The model of enteral nutrition support combined with personalized nursing has a positive effect on reducing the incidence of pressure ulcers and improving the quality of life in elderly bedridden patients. It is worth promoting and applying.
