Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of deep hyperthermia combined with conventional methods on the treatment of inflammatory pleural effusion inflammatory response, lung function and clinical effect. Methods Eighty patients with inflammatory pleural effusion diagnosed in Baoding Second Central Hospital from July 2016 to July 2018 were selected and divided into treatment group and control group by random number table method, 40 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with antibiotics, symptomatic treatment and deep hyperthermia, while the control group was only given antibiotic treatment and symptomatic treatment. The inflammatory indexes, lung function and clinical effects of the two groups were compared after treatment. Results Serum procalcitonin (PCT), hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6), IL-8 and IL-10 of the two groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment, while the treatment group were lower than those of control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1), forced vital capacity (FVC), and maximum ventilation per minute (MVV) after treatment were significantly higher than those before treatment, while the treatment group were higher than those of control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The clinical effect of the patients in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Deep hyperthermia combined with conventional methods for treating inflammatory pleural effusions can more effectively promote the absorption of effusions, improve the anti-infective effect, and improve the patients′ lung function than conventional treatments.
