Research of small-molecule histone deacetylase inhibitors on anti-inflammatory activity

Abstract:At present, the treatment of inflammatory response and immune response diseases has attracted the attention of the global pharmaceutical community, while the search for new anti-inflammatory drugs and anti-inflammatory activity mechanism has become a research hotspot. Histone deacetylase inhibitor (HDACI) has the characteristics of inhibiting the growth of inflammatory cells, leading to cell differentiation and death, and inhibiting the formation of inflammation. The latest research found that HDACI can be used to treat inflammatory diseases. The types of HDACI are complex with many studies, but they lack a summary review of progress in inflammation. Therefore, this paper summarizes the research progress of HDACI and the main anti-inflammatory mechanism of HDACI, such as hydroxams, short-chain fatty acids, cyclic peptides, and formamide, in order to provide ideas for finding new anti-inflammatory drugs and mechanisms.
