Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae medicated serum on the proliferation of the bronchial smooth muscle cells (BSMC), the tube formation and the expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in BSMC. Methods The murine were sensititized and challenged with ovalbumin (OVA) to establish asthma model and Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae medicated serum was prepared. The BSMC were cultured in vitro and randomly divided into the blank serum group, the low dose group and the high dose group. The proliferations of BSMC, the lengths of the tube formation, the expressions of VEGF and VEGF mRNA were detected. Results Compared with the blank serum group, the proliferations of BSMC, the lengths of the tube formation, the expressions of VEGF and VEGF mRNA of the low dose group and the high dose group were increased significantly (P < 0.05). Conclusion Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae medicated serum can inhibit the proliferations of BSMC and the lengths of the tube formation, and the possible mechanisms may be related to reduce the expressions of VEGF.
