Research on identification of common Chinese herbal medicines based on 3D technology

Abstract:Objective In order to quickly and accurately determine the varieties of traditional Chinese medicine at low cost, 3D technology is applied to the identification of the true and false of traditional Chinese medicine. Methods As well as depth of field synthesis software, microscope and photographic equipment were used for 3D photographing and identification of common Chinese herbal medicines and their confusions. Results Through 3D technology, the distinction between the authentic and the confusions of traditional Chinese medicine had been completed, and the authenticity of traditional Chinese medicine can be preliminarily identified. Conclusion This method is simple and practical, improves work efficiency and reduces work cost. It is very suitable for popularization at the grass-roots level.
