Abstract:Objective To investigate the differences of volatile components in stems, leaves and flowers of Capparis spinosa L. from different puoducing areas. Methods Volatile constituents from the stems, leaves and flowers of Capparis spinosa L. were extracted by headspace-solid phase microextraction, then the qualitatively were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, and the relative percentage were calculated by peak area normalization method. Results A total of 44 components were identified from the stem, 30 components from the leaves and 33 components from the flowers. The stems, leaves and flowers of Capparis spinosa L. generally contained a higher proportion of isothiocyanates, among which the total content in the flowers was the highest, and the content of methyl isothiocyanate in the leaves was higher. The proportion of isopropylisothiocyanate and and sec-butyl isothiocyanate were higher in flowers. Conclusion This reseach provides foundation for the developing and utilizing of the aboveground parts of Capparis spinosa L..
