Abstract:Objective To systematically evaluate the application effect of the health education pathway on cancer patients with chemotherapy. Methods Studies of the randomized controlled trials of health education pathway on cancer patients receiving chemotherapy were researched in databases from establishment of the databases to December 2016, including Wanfang databases, CNKI, VIP. RevMan 5.3 software was used for statistical analysis. Results Twenty-four literatures and 2 494 patients had been incorporated into this project, including 1242 cases in health education pathway group and 1252 cases in the control group. The results of Meta analysis showed that the mastering of health knowledge (RR = 1.36,95%CI:1.22-1.51,P < 0.01), patients'satisfaction (RR = 1.19,95%CI:1.12-1.26,P < 0.01) in the health education pathway group were higher than those of control group, the anxiety score (SMD= - 1.90,95%CI:-2.44--1.37,P < 0.01) and phlebitis incidence (RR = 0.20,95%CI:0.05-0.77,P < 0.05) were lower than those of control group, with statistically significant differences. Conclusion The health education pathway has a better implementation effect compared with traditional health education, but it is still required for verification through multicenter and large sample randomized clinical trials.
