Abstract:Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) is one of the most common hormonal disorders, occurring in 5%-10% women in reproductive ages. Although there are many researches on PCOS in recent years, its etiology is still unclear. Oxidative stress plays an important role in the pathophysiology of PCOS. Intracellular reactive oxygen species production in patients with PCOS is controlled by highly complex antioxidant enzymatic and non-enzyme systems. Therefore, understanding the mechanism of oxidative stress is of great significance for the prevention and treatment of PCOS. The oxidative stress mechanism and related markers of PCOS are discussed in this paper.
