Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of severe nursing on respiratory failure in children. Methods From May 2016 to May 2017, 106 children with respiratory failure admitted to the Paediatric Care Unit of the First Affiliated Hospital of PLA Air Force Medical University were enrolled in the study. According to the random number table method, the patients were divided into control group and study group, with 53 cases in each group. The control group received routine care, the study group received intensive care. The intervention effect, treatment, respiratory function and nursing satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). The duration of ventilation, hospitalization and intensive care in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Peak airway pressure and airway resistance were lower in the study group than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The peak airway pressure and airway resistance in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05), and the static compliance in the study group was higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The satisfaction of the study group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion In the nursing process of pediatric respiratory failure, intensive care nursing can effectively improve the nursing effect, shorten the duration of intensive care for patients, promote the recovery of children, improve nursing satisfaction, clinical application should be further promoted.
