Abstract:Objective To explore clinical effect of eliminating pathogens from lung for expelling fluid retention method in the treatment of tuberculous pleurisy. Methods From February 2017 to January 2019, 86 patients with tuberculous pleurisy were randomly divided into control group and treatment group according to coin tossing method, with 43 cases in each group. After being admitted to hospital, control group was given routine Western medicine anti tuberculosis treatment. Treatment group was treated on the basis of Western medicine combined with eliminating pathogens from lung for expelling fluid retention method. Both groups were treated for 2 months continuously. Clinical effect after treatment, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels in pleural effusion before and after treatment were compared between two groups. Results Total effective rate of treatment group was higher than that of control group after treatment (P < 0.05). After treatment, scores of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes in two groups were lower than those before treatment, treatment group was lower than control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, levels of TNF-α and CRP in two groups were lower than those before treatment, treatment group was lower than control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Eliminating pathogens from lung for expelling fluid retention method combined with Western medicine anti tuberculosis treatment can improve the clinical effect of tuberculous pleurisy patients, better improve the symptoms of patients, reduce the inflammatory level of patients, the clinical effect is significant, it is worthy of clinical promotion.
