Abstract:Objective To design a case of individualized template for navigating pedicle screw installation, and to simply assess the effect for training or clinical practice. Methods A set of CT data was randomly select from Department of Radiographic of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University in June 2018. The navigation template and pedicle screw were designed by softwares such as Mimics and Pro-E, and the solid model was printed out by 3D print technique. The screw was integrated and installed in reality so as to observe the immobilization between the template and spine, the accuracy of screw path, and whether the length of nail met the previous design. Then the possibility of the design process for teching training was evaluated. Results The template was fitted into the spine firmly. After screws installed, the navigation model was fitable to the screw path accurately and correspondently, the depth of nail matched the preoperative design, the effect of training during processing had a good effect. Conclusion The design of individualized spinal navigation template is of significance in both teching training and clinical practice.
