Abstract：Objective To investigate the preventive effect of standard operating procedure of gradient elastic stockings on deep venous thrombosis of lower extremity after transurethral resection of prostate. Methods A total of 168 patients with transurethral resection of prostate from January 2016 to December 2018 were selected from Affiliated Drum Tower Hospital of Medicine School of Nanjing University, and randomly divided into observation group and control group with 84 patients in each group. Gradient elastic stockings were given to the control group, and the observation group was given the standard operating procedure of the gradient elastic stockings. The incidence of deep venous thrombosis and gastrocnemius pain, D-dimer level, lower limb blood flow velocity and lower limb skin temperature were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of lower limb deep venous thrombosis and gastrocnemius pain in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P ＜ 0.05). The postoperative D-dimer level in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference (P ＜ 0.05). The flow velocity of superficial femoral vein and popliteal vein of both lower extremities in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the skin temperature of both lower extremities in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion The standard operating procedure of gradient elastic socks can effectively prevent the occurrence of lower extremity deep vein thrombosis in patients undergoing transureal prostatectomy, reduce the incidence of gastrocrocker pain and D-dimer level, and improve the venous blood flow rate of lower extremity and skin temperature of lower extremity, which is worthy of promotion.
