Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effect of needle-knife combined with heat-sensitive moxibustion on waist and back muscle fasciitis. Methods Forty patients diagnosed as waist and back muscle fasciitis admitted to outpatient Department of Jiangsu Province Hospital on Integration of Chinese and Western Medicine from January to December 2018 were divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table method, with 20 patients in each group. The observation group received needle-knife loosening of waist and back fascia and heat-sensitive moxibustion, while the control group received heat-sensitive moxibustion only. Once a week, both groups were treated for 4 weeks. Before and after treatment, pain scale index (PRI), visual analogue scale (VAS) score, current pain intensity (PPI) score, lesion tissue development area under magnetic resonance imaging and the number of heat sensitive points were observed. Results After treatment, the PRI, VAS score and PPI score of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment (all P < 0.01), and PRI, VAS score and PPI score of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group after treatment, the differences were highly statistically significant (all P < 0.01). The number of heat sensitive points in the two groups after treatment was significantly reduced (all P < 0.01), and the number of heat sensitive points in the observation group after treatment was significantly less than that in the control group, the difference was highly statistically significant (P < 0.01). The lesion tissue development area under magnetic resonance imaging of the two groups decreased significantly after treatment (all P < 0.01), and the lesion tissue development area in the observation group was significantly smaller than that in the control group after treatment, the difference was highly statistically significant (P < 0.01). The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The clinical effect of needle-knife combined with heat-sensitive moxibustion in treating waist and back muscle fasciitis is better than heat-sensitive moxibustion only, which has the value of clinical promotion.
